Dan Lubin is a former New Yorker, a retired mainframe systems programmer and high-school math teacher, who entered the gaming industry in 2005 at the age of 45. He developed EZ Pai Gow and other games after researching table games while working as a dealer for the Stations Casino group, and he views the game-design process as an art and a science. He joined up with Steven Jones (also a former dealer and a fellow game developer) to form Lubin-Jones LLC in 2008. Dan is currently working on new table-game projects and is a consultant to fellow game developers. He currently lives and works in Las Vegas.
